Wally Cantor to Retire from Rabbit Aviation
July 1, 2009
15-year line service veteran is a source of inspiration for colleagues, customers, and the San Carlos aviation community
June 15, 2009
SAN CARLOS, CA - Line Service Specialist Wally Cantor has announced his intentions to retire from Rabbit Aviation Services. His last shift will end on Wednesday, July 1.
Wally has been an influential member of the San Carlos Airport community for over 15 years, the last five of which he spent at Rabbit Aviation. Wally arrived at Rabbit Aviation because his love of aviation survived even a colorful career of serving his country as a navy fighter pilot.
During his time at the San Carlos Airport, Wally has touched the lives of many. Most fellow employees, pilots, and airport tenants can recount instances when they were inspired by Wally. Wally's words of wisdom, derived from an extensive catalog of life experiences, have helped inspire and shape the directions of many people's lives, both young and old. And few people can recall interacting with Wally without laughing at the witty charm the San Carlos Airport community has come to take for granted.
We will all miss Wally when he moves onto the next chapter in his life, but we also have a feeling that retirement will treat Wally well. And, after all, with over 70 years under his belt, we can all agree that Wally should look forward to a well-deserved break!
