Line Service Specialist (Part-Time Regular)
Position Summary
Line Service Specialists at Rabbit Aviation are at the forefront of our company and its image. Line Service Specialists operate our fuel trucks and dispense fuel to aircraft based on automatic ordering procedures and requests received via radio and telephone. Primary operational goals are efficiency and customer satisfaction. During off-peak times, employees assist in equipment maintenance, administrative tasks, and miscellaneous projects and ad hoc duties. Above all, Line Service Specialists are responsible for maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
Essential Functions
-Operate ground service vehicles
-Operate aviation refueling equipment
-Assist customers with routine and irregular requests
-Participate in ad hoc duties and projects
Interactions
-Supervision received: During the training period, the employee is under direct supervision. Once finished training, the employee is under general supervision only
-Supervisory duties: The employee will not initially assume any supervisory duties, but will be expected to be able to assume the role of Shift Supervisor with time
-Customers: The employee's primary interactions will be directly with customers
Minimum Qualifications
-Class C Driver License, clean DMV record
-U.S. Citizen or legal working resident
-Attending or graduated from an accredited university
-Two years of progressive work experience
-Ability to fluently read, write, speak, and express oneself in English
-Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
-Regular attendance, punctuality, and responsibility
-Ability to maintain a professional appearance and professional, friendly demeanor
-Computer-literate
-Ability to learn quickly and adapt to complex, dynamic working conditions
-A good sense of humor is a necessity!
Preferred Qualifications
-Aviation experience (any of the following: pursuing or possessing pilot certifications, pursuing or possessing a degree in an aviation-related field, possessing the CM designation from the AAAE, etc.)
-Familiarity with general aviation aircraft recognition, basic airport layout and rules
-Additional pertinent certifications
Working Conditions
-Inside, outside, and around aviation refueling trucks and equipment
-Handheld radios and telephones
-Office equipment
-Outdoor aviation environment: variable weather and noise levels
-Physical effort: Position requires light to moderate physical effort involving objects and weight frequently in excess of fifteen pounds and occasionally in excess of thirty pounds
Provisions, Pay, Benefits
-Paid training period
-Hourly pay: $10/hour in training, $11 hour first year pay. Annual assessments, pay-based incentives, and opportunity for advancements in pay and position over time.
-Personal safety equipment provided
-Hiring for part-time work (not in excess of 40 working hours per week)
